Congaree is the “largest intact expanse of old growth bottomland hardwood forest remaining in the southeastern United States” according to the National parks service. It’s a primordial forest with giant trees, eight foot deep mud, ever changing water levels. It’s amazing. Congaree looks like a slice of the Jurassic in the present day. This is a collection of the images I took there. If you’d like more info about the trip, as well as more example images, please check out this blog post. http://www.sarahdahlinger.com/?p=1609.
